Hello Everybody,

Just a few thing’s of note before we head into the best part of summer.

We have the Whistler Brewers bowling night tonight at 6:30 pm at the Ridge Bowling Lanes. All funds raised go to SPFK and Make a Wish. If you’ve never been, it’s a great time!

We ask that the following teams from our league playing in the SPFK tourney pay their entrance fees and if you have any fundraising dollars to hand in, you could do so this Sunday at Douglas Park.  This will allow us to make sure the tourney runs smoothly and will make the job ofaccounting during the tourney weekend much easier.

Howe Sound Brewers, Last Call, Pool Party, Kingston, Phat, Balls&Mitts, Ceili’s

Thanks so much for all your help in making our tournament so great and making so many wishes for the kids come true.

Thanks again,

Wish Crew

Hello all,

We are so excited that the tourney is only two weeks away! I am happy to report that he tourney is completely full this year.

A couple of things of note:

1. First game times and rules will be emailed to you early next week
2. For those of you that are interested, for $20/per person you can have a weekend pass to the bus service – pick up will be at Ceilis in Kits at 7am on both Saturday and Sunday and it will bring people back there both evenings (Saturday following the activities and on Sunday following the finals). There are 50 spots available for pre-purchase so please let me know if you are interested and I will provide you with instructions on how to get us payment. If we fill all of these spots we will schedule a second bus that will pick up and drop off at G Sports downtown. Please let your teams know about this and ask them to let me know ASAP if they are interested in securing a seat on the bus as I am sure the spots will fill quickly. We will offer a second bus if there is sufficient demand. Please consider this option and don’t drink and drive.
3. Jason House has organized a party at G Sports after the Saturday night events at the field are over – for more info please click here http://www.facebook.com/events/#!/events/381951675199268/

We are thrilled to hear about all of the teams that are fundraising this year….thank you and keep up the amazing work!

Please let me know if you have any questions. See you all in a couple of weeks.

Hello Everybody,

So another good week for the league. Thank you for all making things run smoothly.

PLEASE be aware we received a letter from the Parks Board asking us to make sure we do not block the jogging path with lawn chairs, bags, dogs etc… Remember we are responsible for joggers safety as well. That’s why the old timers in the league yell “Jogger” whenever a jogger is passing by. Thanks for helping.

Things of note:

Scores and Standings have been updated.

Lat Call’s SPFK fundraising BBQ this past weekend went great! Thanks for all the support.

Winning 50/50 ticket # 813118 you won $151.  Last Call and SPFK thanks you! Look for Carolyn from Last Call to collect your $$$

Gramercy Grill’s team wine/appy party was a huge success on Thursday night. Again SPFK and the kids of Make A Wish thank you.

Howe Sound ran a Beer Pong Tourney on Sat Night with a ton of fun had by all. Over $3000. was raised with the Long Pongs beating 2 Guys 6 Cups in the final. Great work Brewers!

League Lotto Tourney has been  cancelled to to lack of player commitment. For those that had paid, we will get your money back to you as soon as we can. We are very sorry, maybe we can try for August Long weekend instead. Please express your interest quickly if you’d be down for playing that weekend.

As for any ball happening this weekend, a pick-up game/s will start at noon on Sunday at Douglas Park. Please remember that we are still expected to be good neighbors and your actions represent the entire league regardless if it is a league play week. Please help each other in remembering this.

Thanks and have a great Canada Day Long Weekend,

Hammy
